VEGETABLE SANDWICH/ PIZZA STYLE SANDWICH

VEGETABLE SANDWICH OR PIZZA STYLE VEG. SANDWICH is a simple and quick recipe which can be made within 15 minutes. It is a delicious and healthy recipe for people of all age. Sandwiches are quick and easy breakfast or snack to make. Even beginners can make it easily.


VEGETABLE SANDWICH OR PIZZA STYLE SANDWICH is a good option when you are sort of time or you want something to eat in a hurry. It is also a good lunch box recipe for kids. Kids love pizza, so this recipe will definitely be a favorite snack or breakfast for children.

This veg. sandwich is made without oven or grill or toaster. I have made this sandwich on tawa or pan.





INGREDIENTS FOR PIZZA STYLE SANDWICH:


·        Bread – 4 pieces
·        Onion-1
·        Capsicum-1
·        Carrot-1
·        Paneer-50 grams
·        Chili flakes- 1 tsp
·        Mixed herb or oregano – 1 tsp
·        Pizza or pasta sauce – 1 tbsp
·        Butter- 2 tsp
·        Cheese- 2 to 3 tbsp(grated)
·        Black pepper powder- ½ tsp
·        Salt to taste
·        Mayonnaise- 2 tbsp
·        Sesame seeds – 2 tsp

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING VEGETABLE SANDWICH:

1. Chop onion, capsicum and carrot into small pieces. Cut paneer into small cubes.
2. Heat 1 tsp oil or butter in a pan. Add onion and saute for a while. Then add chopped capsicum and carrot in it. Fry all ingredients for 1 minute on high flame. Make sure that the vegetables will remain crunchy and not overcooked.
3. Add paneer pieces and mix well.
4. Now add salt, pepper powder, chili flakes, mixed herbs and mix well. Fry for a while and then add pizza sauce in it. Fry it till the sauce become dry and well blend with all ingredients.
5. Turn off the flame. Stuffing is ready for making sandwich.
6.  Take two bread pieces on a plate. Apply mayonnaise on one piece of bread. Then spread stuffing generously on it. Cover it with other bread piece and keep aside.
  7. Heat a tawa or pan. Apply butter on tawa and spread some sesame seeds on the butter. Keep the sandwich on the tawa and let it cook for 1 minute or till the side become light brown.
8. Meanwhile apply some butter on the top of the sandwich and spread some sesame seeds on it. Flip the sandwich carefully. Let the other side cook and become light brown.
9.  When the sandwich became evenly cooked and crispy from both sides, transfer it to a plate. Cut the sandwich diagonally by using a knife or pizza cutter.
10.  Serve hot with tomato ketchup or chutney in breakfast or as evening snack.

STEP-14: Flip the sandwich carefully. Let the other side cooked and become light brown.
