POTATO-CAPSICUM
DRY CURRY/ ALOO-CAPSICUM RECIPE / ALOO-SHIMLA MIRCH RECIPE
Aloo
capsicum or aloo shimla mirch recipe is a dry Indian curry, made with stir
fried potatoes and capsicum. It is a quick, simple and lip smacking recipe that
you can make for a quick lunch, dinner or pack into a lunch box.

Aloo
capsicum or aloo shimla mirch is a quick, simple and delicious recipe, goes
well with all Indian roties like phulka, parantha, naan or kultha and it can be
a great side dish with rice and dal.
INGREDIENTS:
· Potatoes-3 medium.
· Capsicum-3
· Onion-1 big
·
Tomatoes-2
medium
· Ginger-garlic paste-1 tbsp
· Green chiilies- 3 to 4
· Coriander powder-2 tsp
· Cumin powder -1 tsp
· Red chilli powder-1 tsp
· Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
· Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
· Chopped coriander leaves-2 tbsp
· Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
MEHODS FOR PREPARING
ALOO-CAPSICUM RECIPE:
STEP-1:
Cut potatoes and
capsicum into cubes.
STEP-2:
Heat 1 tbsp oil and fry
potato cubes till it becomes golden brown.
STEP-3:
Again fry capsicum
cubes with little oil and keep aside.
STEP-4:
Heat 3 to 4 tbsp oil
in a pan.Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
STEP-5: Now add chopped onion in it and
fry 1to2 minutes. After 2 minutes add ginger-garlic paste and cook till the raw
smell of masala gone.
STEP-6: Then add chopped tomatoes and
gree chillies and stir till tomatoes become soft .Then add all dry masalas and
fry the masala till completely done.
STEP-7:
Now add fried aloo and
capsicum and stir for a while. Cover the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.
Stir it occasionally.
STEP-8: Add garam masala and mix well. (Don’t
over cook the capsicum)
STEP-9: Garnish with chopped coriander
leaves and serve hot.
PREPARATION OF ALOO

STEP-13: Remove the lid and add all dry
masalas like coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder and turmeric
powder.
STEP-19: The dish is ready to serve.
Transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
