MASALA EGG OMELETTE CURRY OR OMELETTE CURRY is a delicious tomato – onion based curry with omelette pieces. It is a simple, quick and yummy dish, which we can prepare in any occasion. The ingredients used in this recipe are easily available in any household. Generally, we always keep eggs in our houses.so in hurry we can make various egg recipes and can serve.

OMELETTE CURRY is the easiest and the handiest dish to serve in anytime of the day. It goes well with paratha, naan or any Indian bread and steamed rice and jeera rice.

INGREDIENTS FOR OMELETTE CURRY:

FOR MAKING OMELETTE:


1.           EGG -4

2.           ONION-1(CHOPPED)
3.           GREEN CHILIES – 3 TO 4(CHOPPED)
4.           CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES – ½ CUP (CHOPPED)
5.           SALT
6.           CHEESE ( GRATED) – ½ CUP
7.           TURMERIC POWDER – ½ TSP

FOR GRAVY:


1.     ONION-1
2.     GINGER- GARLIC PASTE – 2TSP
3.     TOMATOES – 2
4.     RED CHILI POWDER – 1TSP
5.     KASHMIRI RED CHILI POWDER – 1TSP
6.     CORIANDER POWDER – 1TSP
7.     CUMMIN POWDER – ½ TSP
8.     TURMERIC POWDER – ½ TSP
9.     GARAM MASALA – ½ TSP
10.               SALT
11.               OIL
12.                CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES FOR GARNISHING
13.               CUMIN SEEDS – ½ TSP


METHODS OF MAKING OMELETTE CURRY:


FOR MAKING OMELETTE:

1. Crack four eggs in a bowl.

2. Add chopped onion, chopped green chilies and chopped coriander leaves in it.

3. Add salt and turmeric powder in the eggs. Whisk the eggs nicely.

4. Heat oil in a pan.

5. When the oil became hot, pour the eggs batter in it and cook it on low heat.

6.    Spread grated cheese on the omelette and let it cook for 2 minutes.

7.    After that fold the omelette and cook it until it done properly.

8.    Transfer the omelette to a plate and cut it into pieces.

FOR MAKING GRAVY:


1.    Chop onion and tomatoes finely.

2.    Heat oil in a pan or kadhai and add cumin seeds and whole garam masala in it.

3.    When it starts crackling, add chopped onion and saute it until it becomes golden.

4.    Add ginger-garlic paste and fry it until the raw smell of ginger and garlic goes away.

5.    Now add chopped tomatoes, chopped green chilies and little salt in it.

6.    Fry the masala till the tomatoes become soft and mushy.

7.    Add all dry masalas like, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, Kashmiri red chili powder and cumin powder.

8.    Fry all ingredients until the oil leaves the pan.

9. Add 2 cups water and let it boil.

10.   When the water starts, boiling add egg pieces and stir.

11.                 Cover with a lid and let it simmer for 5 to 7 minutes.

12.     After 7 minutes, check the consistency of the gravy.

13.     Add chopped coriander leaves and garam masala.

14.    Transfer the dish to a serving bowl. Garnish with grated cheese and chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with any Indian breads and rice.
