HOW TO MAKE OATS CHILLA

ats chilla is a healthy option for not only
breakfast but it can also be taken in lunch and dinner. It is a quick, delicious
and healthy recipe. It is a variation of traditional besan chilla recipe which
is typically prepared with besan or chickpea flour. It is a good option for
kids’ lunch box as it contains vegetables.
Oats chilla is an extremely simple recipe. It is made using oats, besan, suji, curd, vegetables and spices. It tastes delicious of its own but curd, sambhar and chutney compliment its taste. These are best served hot since they begin to loose the crispy texture as they cool.

INGREDIENTS:
v Oats-2cups
v Besan-1/2
cup
v Suji-1/2 cup
v Curd-1cup
v Onion-1
v Capsicum-1
v Carrot-1
v Tomato-1
v Green chilli-3to4
v Ginger-1/2tsp
(grated)
v Cumin-1/2tsp
v Coriander leaves-1/2(chopped)
v Haldi
v Salt
PREPARATION OF OATS CHILLA
Preparation of batter:
Ø Firstly dry roast the oats till it become light brown. Then grind it to a
fine powder.
Ø Combine the oats flour with suji, besan and curd.
Ø Make a batter by adding water and mix well.
Ø Cover and keep it for 15mins.
Ø Make a thick flowing consistency of chilla batter.
How
to make chilla:
Ø Pour a laddleful of batter on hot tawa and spread it gently.
Ø Pour half spoon of oil on the chilla.
Ø After a minute remove the lid and flip the chilla up side down
Ø Serve hot with curd or your favourite chutney.
